A new book has been published by The Christian Respondent

Ron was one of many Watchtower casualties in the 1980 timeframe, among many others in the post-1975 upheaval at WT headquarters, including Ray Franz. It was a time when there was very little support for people out of the Watchtower; very little communication, no Internet that allowed for extensive anonymous communications and exposés, and people disfellowshiped in those days were far more shattered than most we observe nowadays. Ray Franz' books had not come to light. Ron was among the first few to gather with Ray Franz and others, like Jim Penton and Peter Gregerson, in those early years and who tried to form a support group and outreach to the thousands of isolated former Jehovah's Witnesses throughout the world who were drastically disillusioned and devastated by the monstrous shunning policy of the Watchtower religion. In that small association, Ray, with Peter Gregerson's support, was motivated to write his book Crisis of Conscience.

For years Ron published a newsletter that Ray Franz recommended to people, The Christian Respondent, which came to incorporate Ron's memoirs which he has now published in a book. The book is poignantly written and has some pictures of Ron, his wife Mavis, and their daughter who is still a Jehovah's Witness who shuns her parents. It shows the tiny little trailer house they lived in while he was a circuit overseer. (Circuit overseers and their wives live in nice homes now--these are different times!)
